High Sedimentation Efficiency

By introducing dense microsand during the coagulation stage, it expedites the growth of flocs, increasing their density and volume. This increases the settling speed, which is 20-30 times that of a regular sedimentation tank.

Wide Application Scope

This technology is applicable to both municipal waterworks and wastewater treatment plants, particularly effective in treating low-temperature and low-turbidity water in northern regions.

Small Footprint

The remarkably high settling speed minimizes the space needed for sedimentation tanks, which takes up only 5%-10% of the area compared to traditional sedimentation tanks.

How It Works

Coagulants are added to the coagulation tank to destabilize suspended solids and colloidal particles in water, forming larger flocs. Then microsand and flocculants are respectively added in the injection tank and maturation tank. The destabilized impurities use the carrier as a flocculation nucleus, and through the bridging adsorption of polymer chains and the trapping action of microsand particles, denser flocs are rapidly formed. This rapid formation of denser flocs significantly shortens settling time and improves treatment efficiency in the inclined tube settler. Mircrosand is efficiently separated and recirculated through a hydrocyclone, allowing for the recovery of microsand for reuse within the system.
